Conference Call for Proposals
It’s finally here! Proposal submissions for the Utah Library Association 2020 Annual Conference are now open. The Call for Proposals will run through midnight on Friday November 1st. Click here to submit a program or to see the information needed to submit a program.
The 2020 conference will be held at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George Utah from May 13-15th, 2020.
Please consider sharing your expertise with your colleagues from around the state by submitting a conference program proposal. We are looking for programs of a variety of lengths (Pre-conference – 3 hours, Speaker/Panel Session – 50 minutes, Speaker/Panel Mini-session – 20 minutes, or Lightning Talk – 5 minutes) and any topic applicable to libraries. The following topics are of interest to many in our state:
- Adult or Senior Citizen Programming
- Author Sessions
- Collection Development
- Digitization
- Fundraising
- Intellectual Freedom
- Leadership
- LGBTQ & Diversity
- Marketing
- Staff Training & Development
- Special Collections
- Technical Services
We there are librarians doing some really cool things throughout the state and would love to hear from you! St. George is beautiful in May, so get your colleagues together and show what you’ve been up to this year.
I am looking forward to seeing the new/creative/innovative ways you serve your patrons and each other!
Thank you,
Brandon Bowen, Program Board Chair:
