2019 ULA Book Drive

The annual book drive at the upcoming ULA Conference will benefit the Venita K. Taveapont Memorial Library, a high school and public library which serves the Ute Indian Tribe. This library currently is a nonprofit and operates without an ongoing budget to buy books. They are in need of new or newer books (2000 to the present).

This library’s greatest needs include:

  • High school or middle school textbooks (math, science, language arts, humanities, history, and college prep)
  • Nonfiction books for all ages (especially do-it-yourself, games/activities, Native American literature, and medical health subjects)
  • Fiction books for youth and adults (especially science fiction and fantasy)

Donations will be accepted in print book, CD, DVD, audiobook, and eBook formats. Also appreciated are gift cards which will be used for purchasing books or supplies. Thank you to all those who choose to participate in this great effort!

Donations can be dropped off at room 300 D near the registration desk at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy during the Annual ULA Conference on May 15-17, 2019.
