Archives, Manuscripts & Special Collections Round Table (AMSC)

The goals of the Archives, Manuscripts & Special Collections Round Table (AMSC) are to promote the work and development of archives and special collections in Utah by fostering cooperation and collaboration between all levels of professionals; by sharing knowledge of the highest standards in processing, preservation & accessibility; and by promoting the widespread use of archives & special collections.

Conference Scholarship Available

The Round Table is offering a scholarship of up to $350 to cover registration at a conference related to archives and/or special collections in 2020. This may include CIMA, AIC, RBMS, SAA, or another conference. The scholarship is open to all ULA members, not only those who are part of AMSC.

To apply for the scholarship, complete this form by 5 pm MST on Friday, February 14th. The winner will be announced by March 1st. If you have any questions, please contact the Round Table Chair by February 14th.

Special Collections Training Opportunities

Library Juice Academy is offering several upcoming online courses on aspects of special collections librarianship. If you or your staff are looking for quick introductions to the field, LJA is a good place to start. There are bundled discounts for institutions or individuals who wish to take multiple courses or enroll multiple people in one course.
