RASRT Digital Inclusion Workshop

Digital Inclusion 101

Sponsored by the Reference and Adult Services Round Table (RASRT)

Friday, February 3, 2017
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
West Jordan Library, Park View Room
8030 South 1825 West
West Jordan, Utah

Digital Inclusion is a hot topic in Library Land these days, but what does it really mean? Join NTEN Digital Inclusion Fellows and a representative of Google Community Partners to learn about what Digital Inclusion is, why it matters, and what it means for libraries. Participants will leave the workshop with a set of concrete tools and ideas they can use immediately with patrons, library boards,  and administrators. Digital inequity often lives where it is least expected, so library workers from all types of libraries are encouraged to attend.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Digital Inclusion (DI) Overview
  • DI Resources for Libraries
  • Using Volunteers and Community Partners in DI Programs
  • Device Lending

RASRT will provide a light lunch and refreshments for attendees.

Please contact Dan Berube at 801-944-7666 or dberube@slcolibrary.org if you have any questions.
