Show Me the $$$! How Your Library Can Obtain Funding from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine

What: A discussion of just how easy it is to apply for all of the great funding opportunities available during this year’s grant cycle. John and Chris will briefly cover the different types of awards offered as well as the application process. Then they will open the session answer any questions that attendees may have about how to apply.

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Mid-Continental Region is thrilled to announce our 2019-2020 funding opportunities! Note the deadline for application is May 31, 2019. You can see the full list of opportunities on our website at https://nnlm.gov/mcr/funding.

We have a lot of new funding opportunities to support all types of libraries, library staff, and community-based organizations. This year the Mid-Continental Regional Medical Library has nearly $90,000 in sub-award funds and nearly $110,000 from the NNLM All of Us program. You don’t want to miss out on this!

For inspiration read how one library tackled community needs with help from the NNLM. A Colorado library used a NNLM MCR grant to support cooking demonstrations, discussions with kids about the digestive system, classes on nutrition, and a program for parents on emotional well being. Grants may be available for programming, community engagement, staff professional development, or technology upgrades, among other project areas.
